Description of the bug
AI2928 (
http://noosfero.org/Development/ActionItem2928) has 4 problems, but we only fixed three of them that we consider bugs. The fourth problem unfortunately was already mentioned during the proposal of the feature and was (again) ignored, which is the difficulty of the new process in terms of usability for popular users. See discussion in the list about that. Final users will have more difficulties to understand how to categorize contents and profiles.
Well, let's cite the 3 bugs:
- The categories to be chosen are not ordered alphabetically, but simply by the database order
- There is no way to define which types of categories are available for contents and for profiles
- There is no way to define categories which should not be able to become final categories. Before, the categories in level zero were not choosable: they were simply title of types of categories. Now you can choose a type of category without choosing anything.
Our solution was:
For bug 1, to order categories alphabeticaly.
For bug 2, to allow the environment admin to define if a specific category is available for profiles categorization and/or for contents categorization
For bug 3, to allow the environment admin to define if a specific category can be chosen as final category by a user, or if the user will need to go further down
